The Deeper Pattern Method™

The visible problem is rarely the whole problem.

The Problem

Leaders solve the same problem repeatedly because they are solving the symptom, not the pattern producing it.

The Model

A structured way to move from the presenting issue to the underlying pattern — the behavior, belief, incentive, or structure that keeps regenerating the problem — and then to the one change that collapses it.

How It Works
  1. 01

    Name the presenting problem

Describe the problem exactly as it is being experienced, without interpretation.

  2. 02

    Trace the repetitions

Find every prior version of the same problem. Patterns announce themselves through recurrence.

  3. 03

    Locate the source

Separate person, process, structure, and story. Only one of them is generating the loop.

  4. 04

    Test the pattern

State it plainly. If it is true, it explains the history — not just the current incident.

  5. 05

    Design the interruption

Change the smallest thing that makes the pattern impossible to repeat.

Signals You Need It
  • The same conversation keeps returning in a new costume
  • Solutions work briefly and then decay
  • Different people produce identical outcomes in the same seat
